Leighanne Shirey is an experienced APRN in Carson City with over 40 years in the nursing profession, including more than a decade as a Family Nurse Practitioner in both urgent care and family practice. Nationally board-certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), she provides compassionate, comprehensive care to patients across the lifespan.

Originally from Encinitas, California, Leighanne has lived in Carson City for over 30 years. She is married with three adult sons and five grandchildren. A passionate advocate for lifelong learning and wellness, Leighanne enjoys outdoor activities including trail and road running, biking, hiking, water sports, and cross-training. She also loves surfing, riding her Harley Davidson, and spending time with her two German Shorthaired Pointers.

Leighanne is also a Visiting Professor in the Family Nurse Practitioner track at Chamberlain University and a dedicated clinical preceptor.
